Low Carb Salami Crust Mini Pizzas

A 15 minute recipe for low carb mini pizza snack on crispy baked salami crusts


Low Carb Pizza Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons (25g) olive oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons (20g) butter
  • ½ cup (120g) tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon (10g) garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon (5g) dried onion flakes
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup (120g) water
  • salt & pepper

Mini Pizzas

  • 10 pieces (100g) oven baked salami crusts
  • 7 tablespoons (70g) mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons (8g) fresh parsley


Pizza Sauce

  • Add olive oil, butter, and tomato paste to a sauce pan over medium-low heat until butter is melted.
  • Stir in garlic powder, dehydrated onion, Italian seasoning, and water
  • Simmer on low for at least 10 minutes or until ready to use

Salami Crust

  • Lay uncooked sliced salami on a parchment or foil lined baking sheet and bake in a 375°F for 8-10 minutes until they begin to brown and crisp. They will continue to crisp out of the oven. Remove and let cool

Preparing the Mini Pizzas

  • Add about a teaspoon of low carb pizza sauce to each baked salami crust and sprinkle with grated cheese
  • Bake at 375°F for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden brown
  • Serve with extra low carb pizza sauce, or other favourite low carb dipping sauce
